Weekly Photo Challenge: Thankful

Tibetan Prayer Wheels – hold written prayers inside, and it is believed spinning the wheels sends the prayers off

Instead of saying thanks for the good things

Have you tried being grateful for the bad stuff?

The difficulties you face, the lousy people in your life.

I did,

and strangely enough…

It brought me peace

To accept the problems as part of life

To feel compassion and practice patience

Without night there is no day.

  1. …and without rain, no flowers. Somehow or another balance exists around us if we simply open our senses to it. Even rejoicing that a certain pain we experience – such as back pain – is less one day than the previous day, that’s reason to be thankful. Celebrating the small victories add up to lots and lots of victories! Thank you fellow blogger for reminding us to be more realistic in how we look upon our circumstances.

  2. Great perspective. I wish my mom were still here with us, that she had never been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. But her death helped me to grow in so many ways. Something good coming from something really bad. Thanks for sharing.
