When we first arrived at the Aquatic Plant Pond in the Sungai Buloh Wetland Reserve, we were quite disappointed at the nondescript little pond. This is it? Felt like an anticlimax.
But we were tired, and decided to take a breather there. And then we started noticing things…. the terrapins, and the reflections of clouds amidst the algae blooms. Petals in the water. And the brilliant red dragonflies flitting here and there, too quick for my camera.
And so life’s like that. At key points we find ourselves wondering – this is it?
Yeah, maybe it isn’t what you expect. Pause a moment, and look again. And be open to what you see.
So peaceful.

Yes, it was. Though nature was busy.

Amazing what one can see when they stop to see. Love the turtle 🙂

I like the turtle/ terrapin too! But the color seems wrong when published on WordPress. Not sure is I am imagining it.

Why are we so eager to have a level of ‘drama’ when what IS is so amazing? Beautiful places abound, even when we think they’re ordinary.

I’m still trying to train my eyes to see the beauty in everyday scenes. You do it so well!

Such lovely photos! I’ve been wanting to visit Sungai Buloh for some time, but am told that certain areas are temporarily closed to the public. 🙂

Do pay a visit! There is still a lot to see though a section is closed off for maintenance.
